The War Remnants Museum that one be uncovered: As a highly frequented Ho Chi Minh city institution, intense insights into the conflict throughout Vietnam are delivered by genuine relics, photographic documentation, and records dating from the past, which showcase such critical times throughout Vietnam’s chronicles.
Notre Dame Cathedral Basilica: It should be surveyed: This striking illustration depicting French colonial blueprints, residing inside Ho Chi Minh City, should be respected. Representing different cultural traditions alongside architectural splendor found inside the metropolis of Saigon, such a recognizable symbol exists.
Saigon Post Offices: In the vibrant historic heart of Ho Chi Minh City, few landmarks capture the city’s layered identity as elegantly as Saigon Central Post Office. Standing beside Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica of Saigon at Paris Commune Square, this 19th-century architectural masterpiece is more than a post office. It is a living museum of French colonial ambition, Vietnamese resilience, and timeless cultural memory. Built between 1886 and 1891, the building remains one of the city’s most iconic symbols and continues to function as a real post office today.
Its sunlit yellow façade, green ironwork, vaulted ceilings, and grand arched interior evoke the romance of old Europe while standing firmly in Southeast Asia’s most dynamic metropolis. Designed during the French Indochina era by architect Alfred Foulhoux (often mistakenly attributed to Gustave Eiffel), the structure blends Gothic, Renaissance, and classical European influences with local adaptation. Inside, travelers encounter antique wooden phone booths, historic 1892 maps of Saigon and Indochina, and the enduring atmosphere of an age when letters carried the weight of nations.
